With the competition’s €9000 prize fund and the honour of performing at the illustrious Teatro Marrucino on the line, the stakes were high and the performances even higher.
After hours of deliberation, the jury selected six finalists to advance to the Final Round:
- Panxi Ma (China)
- Taichi Miyamoto (Japan)
- Clemens Reißenweber (Germany)
- Anton Bakanov (Russia/Switzerland)
- Yee Yeung Chen (China)

Each finalist captivated the panel of judges, consisting of Alan Chircop (Malta), Francesco De Angelis (Italy), Zohrab Tadevosyan (Spain/Armenia), Karen Shahgaldyan (Armenia), and Pavel Vernikov (Switzerland), with their unique interpretations and technical brilliance guaranteeing them a place in the contest’s finale.
Contestant Yee Yeung Chen expressed gratitude for the opportunity, stating that, “I’m really happy to be part of this competition. I learned a lot in the masterclasses, and I also improved a lot. This is a really beautiful theatre… everything is so grand, and I really like playing inside here!”
